Watercolour paper (140lb) At least A4 size.

Watercolour paints: pans or tubes of the following colours:
lemon yellow, raw sienna, burnt sienna, light red, alizarin crimson, cadmium red, cerulean blue, ultramarine, Payne’s Grey.

Brushes : one large wash brush (round) size 12 or 14.
2-3 smaller brushes in sizes 2-7, in a variety of flat and round.
Sable is a good choice but expensive!
Synthetic or a synthetic/sable mix are a good choice.

You will also need :
• a board to work on
• masking tape
• two jam jars/water pots.
• a drawing pencil (2B)
• a putty rubber will also be useful.

If advice on purchasing equipment is required please telephone or ask at the first lesson.

Occasionally, there may be a small charge for additional equipment provided by the tutor.

NB. For outdoor painting classes, a suitable foldable chair is useful, plus a cushion if necessary. A suitable, watertight container will be needed. Clips for your paper are also a very good idea!
